Tony Kevin

This section of our reading guide contains a selection of writings on SIEVX by Tony Kevin who brought the SIEVX disaster to the attention of the Senate Select Committee on A Certain Maritime Incident (CMI).

Kevin has written and spoken extensively on SIEVX. Included below are his two Senate submissions and CMI testimony, some published newspaper articles up to September 2003, as well as a selection of letters and transcripts of interviews.

While sievx.com and Tony Kevin have collaborated from time to time, they have always been independent of each other. In September 2003 the collaboration ceased due to significant differences in analysis and approach.

Despite these differences sievx.com and Tony Kevin agree that the truth about the sinking of SIEVX and any connection to Australia's covert people smuggling disruption program in Indonesia will not be known until there is a full powers independent judicial inquiry into the matter. The Senate has passed three resolutions to this effect (1, 2, 3).

Tony Kevin's work on SIEVX from September 2003 - October 2008 is archived at: http://web.archive.org/web/20101003153852/http://www.tonykevin.com.au/.
